Our strategic planning process is simple, highly effective, and targeted to your organization’s needs and stage of development.  

Step 1  Needs Assessment

We begin with a needs assessment to learn about your organization and industry and to actively involve the people who are participating in your strategic planning process. 

Depending on your organization’s structure, stage of development and the dynamics of the people involved, this process is usually quite straightforward and can be completed through a combination of telephone interviews and electronic surveys.  In certain situations, we may decide that in-person interviews or focus groups are more appropriate.  We will also ask you to provide us with any background information or documents that you think will help us serve you better.

Step 2  Facilitate Session

Based on the results of your needs assessment, the time you have set aside for your planning session and your budget, we custom design a powerful strategic planning session for your group.  Sessions are typically offered as a one or two day off-site retreat.

During the session itself, we complete a variety of exhilarating, in-depth exercises to help you make critical decisions and produce the content for your strategic plan.  Sessions are practical, intense and productive ... sprinkled with some fun to keep everyone focused and energized.

Step 3  Finalize Strategic Plan

Within one week following your session, we send you a summary report of the outcomes of your strategic planning session.  At this point, you have all the ingredients you need to produce the final version of your strategic plan.  We provide you with a fill-in-the-blank Strategic Planning Tool so you can complete it in-house, or you can opt to have us finish it for you.
